Runner setup
The Runner is the desktop agent that executes your processes. Install it on your machine and connect it to the platform.
Installing the Runner
In the GoAMS panel, go to Runners > Add Runner. Download the installer for your operating system (Windows, Mac or Linux) and run the installation wizard.
After installing, open the Runner application. It will ask for a connection token — you can find this in the GoAMS panel on the Runners page.
Tip
Keep the Runner running in the background so it's always ready to execute scheduled processes.
Connecting to the platform
Copy the connection token from the platform panel and paste it into the Runner. The Runner will connect and appear as 'Online' in the panel.
Runner status:
- Online: connected and ready to execute
- Offline: disconnected, processes will wait
- Busy: currently executing a processOnce connected, the Runner is ready to receive and execute processes. You can check its status at any time in the Runners section.
Multiple Runners
You can install the Runner on multiple machines to execute processes in parallel. Each Runner connects independently using its own token.
Information
If the Runner goes offline, scheduled processes will wait and execute as soon as the Runner reconnects.
